According to Spain’s internet audit bureau OJD Interactiva, elmundo.es has recorded close to 9.900.000 unique visitors in June 2006, its higher audience ever reached. This represents an increase of 70,6% in comparison with June 2005.

It has also registered records in the number of visits (40.138.446) and total pageviews which was 312.652.226.

Elmundo.es confirms its leading position as Spain’s most read information website, with almost 3,4 million more unique visitors than its closest competitor. The leading sports website Marca.com (also represented by Mediacontact International) is second with 6.501.601 unique visitors.
