  La Repubblica again most read quality daily newspaper in Italy  
     
   
     
 

Italian readership survey Audipress has just released its figures for the second wave of 2006. For the 5th consecutive time, La Repubblica confirms its leading position, increasing even further the gap with its closest competitor, Corriere della Sera.

While Audipress 2006.1 monitored La Repubblica with 302.000 readers more than Corriere della Sera, the difference has now increased to 438.000 readers in Audipress 2006.2.

Readership of the main Italian daily newspapers:

La Repubblica             3.015.000 readers     (+0,4%)
Corriere della Sera    2.577.000 readers      (-4,6%)
La Stampa                  1.457.000 readers      (-4,3%)
Il Messaggero            1.433.000 readers      (-2,1%)
Il Sole 24 Ore             1.206.000 readers      (-2,9%)
