The readership survey Directivos, which studies every 2 years the reading habits of the Spanish managers and executives, shows in its last 2007 wave that 3 newspapers from Unidad Editorial Publishing Group are in the top 5 to reach this audience: El Mundo, Expansión and Marca.
Directivos 2007 positions El Mundo as the number one Spanish newspaper to reach decision makers, with a total of 236.000 readers every day, in front of El País (228.000 readers). Directivos confirms previous datas provided by OJD (circulation audit) and EGM (General readership survey) which already showed, year on year, the increasing audience and influence of El Mundo in Spain.
Surprisingly, the sports daily newspaper Marca is 3rd with 110.000 manager readers.
Spains’ leading business and financial newspaper Expansión is 4th with a total of 109.000 business readers. Within the business dailies sector, this is to be compared to the 51.000 executives who read Cinco Días, its main competitor.

For the first time this year, Directivos also monitors the internet audience among decision makers. Here as well, El Mundo is the preferred online newspaper by Spanish executives with 139.000 unique users, followed by El País with 113.000 users.
